Window Manufacturers that provide Revit 3D Families for download
This is a simple tutorial on how to navigate different window manufacturer websites to search and download Revit families for the window you plan to add to your project. Unfortunately, many manufacturers you may want to use are still behind and don’t provide BIM (Revit) files, so they are not listed here. They don’t know what they are missing since there is a good chance an architect will specify a window that fits into a Revit model.
Andersen Windows

Andersen BIM Library: Explore the Andersen BIM Library for Revit families and components. This library provides detailed 3D models of Andersen windows, doors, and other architectural elements that can be directly integrated into your Revit projects.
On the Main Menu, click on For Professionals and select Architectural Tools and Documents, then Architectural Tools (CAD/BIM/CSI)
There are multiple available files, including BIM (Revit), AutoCAD (dwg & DXF), PDFs and Specifications (CSI)
Marvin
Marvin is a renowned manufacturer of high-quality windows and doors. Their products are known for exceptional craftsmanship, innovative design, and durability.
To access the Marvin BIM library, click on the TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS button on the main menu. On the Technical Specifications page, select the Collection, Product Type. On the Drawings, select Revit
Pella
The Pella Corporation is one of the largest private windows and door manufacturing corporations in the US. The company designs and manufactures patio doors, front doors and storm doors. On the windows front, it manufactures vinyl, fiberglass and wood window frames.
To access the window BIM (Revit) files on the Pella website, you need to select the exact window type and model to, for example, Shop Casement Windows. On the window product page, scroll down and look for the Downloads & Specifications section. Expand the 3D & BIM bim and download the Revit file.
Harvey
Harvey is a manufacturer of vinyl and wood windows and doors for replacement and new construction projects. Its product offerings include all types and operating styles of vinyl and wood windows, exterior doors for patios or entries, and even custom window shapes and color options.
The BIM (Revit) window files are hosted on arcat.com. You can go directly on arcat.com or access it through the manufacturer’s website by clicking the tab For Professionals on the main menu, then select the type of project, such as Single Family or Multi-Family to access the Resource Center Quick Links. In the resource page look for Additional BIM Files Types
JELD-WEN
Jeld-Wen produces and distributes an extensive range of interior and exterior doors, wood, vinyl, and aluminum windows, and related products.
It was challenging to find the Revit files because the For Pros button on the main menu forces you to register or sign in to get JELD-WEN information, resources, and tools. Unfortunately, architects don’t like that, it is time-consuming, and they prefer to skip for something else.
Hidden on the footer, there is a button called Documents. On the Documents page click on All Documents. You will open a long list of docs from the installation to BIM models. It is not very friendly, and how the architects search for BIM objects, but it works.
Plygem
Plygem uses the BIMsmith platform for Revit files. Hit the For Pros button on the main menu, and select Windows on the left menu. On the Windows For Pros page, look for the Architect Lounge button. You will open a page with the BIMsmith platform embedded where you can download files only if you are registered with BIMsmith.
